You must complete an official federal government application to learn your subsidy amount. The calculation for the subsidy amount can be quite complicated. It is based on several different factors, but household income is the main factor.

Bronze plans are a good choice if you want a low-cost medical plan to protect yourself against worst-case medical scenarios. You will have a low monthly premium, but you will pay for more of your medical costs. You pay less if you use doctors and hospitals within the plan's network.

Your coinsurance is your share of medical costs and some prescriptions after you’ve met your deductible for your benefit period. Your deductible is the set amount you pay toward medical services and prescriptions before Blue Cross NC starts paying toward those services during your benefit period. This award and acknowledgment requires much more than selling a product. On the other hand, some plans are only offered as Obamacare plans while other plans are only offered as Off-Exchange plans.

This is a huge benefit, especially if you’re living with a chronic condition and regularly receive services from multiple providers. Members with select plans can receive their first three PCP visits at no charge. You can also get your first three behavioral health or substance use doctor visits at no charge. Did you know that your Blue Cross NC medical plan includes dental coverage for dependents up to age 19? It covers a range of dental services including evaluations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, surgeries, crowns and more. It also covers orthodontic services if necessary, under certain conditions.
Note that in-network providers have up to 180 days from the date of service to file a claim with Blue Cross NC, which can affect how quickly you receive your reward. Make an appointment with your in-network primary care physician for a wellness exam. Let them know that you want preventive care screenings and tests that are 100% covered by your plan. Your PCP's job is to handle most of your medical needs, including preventive care, which is covered at 100%, and routine tests. They provide coordinated care and help you achieve the best health possible. That’s why the first thing you should do on Blue Connect is select a PCP.
Premiums and non-covered services, as well as out-of-network charges beyond the allowed amount, do not apply. Your Blue Home with UNC Health Alliance plan includes all providers in the UNC Health Alliance network. Staying in-network lowers your costs and allows doctors to provide you with coordinated care.
